when taking photos with my nikon d60 the lens came detached and since will not remain attached. the lens will attach and lock into position but will fall off the camera unless you apply pressure toward the camera. i have inspected the lens and camera and nothing appears to be broken. has anyone else had this problem?
I don’t have enough knowledge about camera lens. I just bought a new canon camera EOS 50D. I am also planning to buy zoom lens but I have no idea what is the best lens for EOS 50D. Your recommendation is highly appreciated. Thank you.
The title says it all. I just received my D300 today and was excited to finally get it in my hands. I received my 18-200mm lens a few days ago, but waited to open them at the same time. Purchased both items from Ritz Camera via Amazon.
One that is not too expensive. If you can provide photo, that will be even better.
Well I have a Nikon D60 with 18-55mm. What I meant by full body is of the person.
I tried taking depth of field picture of the whole person and the back ground doesn’t seem to be blurry at all. I just want a better lens that will be able to take picture of someone whole body and have the back ground be blurry.
I’m starting to take photography as a real hobby, spending many weekends out there shooting, and I feel it’s time to change my shooting gear from a canon A520 point & shoot (which surprisingly accepts a lot of manual settings) and my old canon AE-1 (with a tamron 70-280 lens, and the trusty old 50mm prime) to a dSLR. Now I have done quite a lot of research about Nikon and Canon dSLR cameras (Nikon D50 and Canon 350D in particular), and I know both are very good bodies with not-the-greatest kit lenses. And I know that it all comes to lenses when photo quality is considered, and that both manufacturers have excelent lenses. I also know that I’ll stick with the brand I choose now for the next couple of years.
Question: How do Nikon and Canon lens offerings compare together in terms of pricing and quality? To be more specific, if you take two very similar lenses (both in terms of numbers AND optics quality) from each manufacturer, which one would be cheaper? Would this be a general rule?
I have the original lens that comes with the Nikon d70, but I’m getting a new one and I would like to know which is the best? Do lenses really affect the pixels? I really want more professional looking photos. Any tips on which lens I should go for would be greatly appreciated.
I am looking for an adapter/mount for canon lenses (nikon as well) for video cameras. I had run across the manufacturer a while back and lost the page. So i know it exists but do not know the name. It did have a remote control focus thing-a-majig.
Also I am not looking for the Redrock or Letus 35mm adapters I am looking for an all-in-one EOS adapter.
today Nikon announced the new 200-400 f4 VR2 Lens which will sell for 99.95. In this video you will find some info on big glass as well as my thoughts on this 7 pound lens. To see a picture of this lens please follow this link bit.ly
I am fairly new to cameras and photography. I have been doing research about this camera for a little while and I have come to a conclusion that most people recommend to buy just the body and the lens seperately. How do I know which kind to buy? Is there a website that can help me make a decision?
My dad gave me his old Canon camera from the 80′s which came with new lens. Umm Im not too sure if this is what they are called but one of them says Canon Lens FD 50MM 1: 1.4 (Made in Japan) and the other says Canon Zoom Lens FD 35-105mm 1: 3.5 (Made in Japan)
**Edit: I meant to say it came with two lens, not new lens. They are kind of old but still work :]
***As for what kind of pictures I will be taking. Im looking at buying this camera for traveling with my familiy. Mainly to be used out doors on vacations and capturing moments with friends.
