I have a nikon 18-200mm lens, but I want to zoom in much farther, especially to snap shots of animals in the zoo and sports.
What would a good upgrade be? Is the next step having to buy a 400mm or 500mm lens?
I wanted to get a teleconverter, but none are compatible with a Nikon 18-200mm

I just found out that my nikon d80 is not capable of the auto focus using a macro lens 105mm. Is this a big deal, should I go with a different macro lens or do most people use manual focus while taking macro shots?
I just received my D80 a few days ago with the 18-200mm VR lens from B&H. Just thought I share the opening, and few of the pictures that I have already taken.
When I put my quantaray lens on my Nikon D50, it looks really dark and won’t take a picture on the automatic setting. My original Nikon lens works just fine, so I figure it must be something with the lens instead of the camera. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
www.dombower.com this video i review the old full frame Nikon 20mm f2.8 AIS lens (all manual) . I love it. If you want to buy this lens then here is the link for B and H photo who still sell it! www.bhphotovideo.com
I just recently bought a wide angle fish eye lens and a 46mm-52mm adapter for my nikon d60. It works well with my 18mm-55mm lens but when I try to put the wide angle on my 55mm-200mm lens, it turns out blurry. The adapter fits fine but I ordered a 58mm adapter for it just in case, but it is too big for my 55mm-200mm lens. Please tell me what I’m doing wrong.
I just bought a D60 Nikon to use for my sons baseball & football games. I would like a telephoto lens (right now I have the 18-55mm lens that it came with) to take close ups. I don’t want to spend a ton of money but would like something that will take portraits. What lens should I buy?

when taking photos with my nikon d60 the lens came detached and since will not remain attached. the lens will attach and lock into position but will fall off the camera unless you apply pressure toward the camera. i have inspected the lens and camera and nothing appears to be broken. has anyone else had this problem?
